Using Face Masks
Many who are prone
to acne are recommended to use facial masks or
treatments; these promise to draw out all the bacteria
and other dirt and elements that have built up on the
face, to exfoliate the top layer of skin, and to
moisturize at the same time.
There are some facial masks that can do
all of these things but you need to be choosey and
selective when trying them.
Here are some things to
remember:
§
Avoid facial masks that contain acne
fighting ingredients.
This is simply because
keeping them on your face in such a high concentrate is
probably just going to cause excessive dryness and
irritation of the skin.
§
The areas around your cheek and next to
your eyes are some of the most sensitive on your face;
your facial mask should be left off of these areas and
instead just used on forehead, nose and
chin.
§
Always moisturize after any facial mask
no matter what type you use; most will leave some dryness
on your face no matter what type of moisturizing
ingredients or properties they promise to
have.
